Welcome to the Homepage of the Endowed Professorship „High-Performance Fibers and Processing“
The establishment of the endowed professorship was made possible by funds from the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft e.V. and the Volkswagen Group.The endowed professorship "High Performance Fibers and Processing" (HLF) is funded by the Polish Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa Innowacje S.A., the research and development company of the JSW Group. In the future, the endowed professorship will investigate basic approaches to the production of carbon fibers that lead to serial processes. The aim is to research and provide modified production processes that allow for significant energy savings compared to conventional processes and thus cost reductions.
